As of the latest primary election on August 20, 2024, the turnout in Broward County was reported to be relatively low, with only about 16 percent of voters participating. Elections officials had hoped for a turnout of around 20 percent, but this goal was not met.
Absentee Ballots: To obtain an absentee ballot, contact the Broward Supervisor of Elections’ Office at 954-357-7055 or fill out an online absentee ballot request form.
Early Voting: Early voting must be held for at least 8 days, and voters can vote at any early voting site within the county when the site is open. On Election Day, mail-in ballots can only be delivered to the Broward Supervisor of Elections offices in downtown Fort Lauderdale or in Lauderhill in person.
BallotTrax: A new ballot tracking system for Vote-By-Mail voters. It uses the registered voter's email address to send notifications when the ballot is sent, received, and accepted for counting.
