Chiranjeevi's wife, Surekha, was visibly emotional when she hugged her nephew, Allu Arjun, upon his return home from jail. The incident occurred after Allu Arjun was released from Chanchalguda prison on Saturday morning. Despite the Telangana High Court granting him bail, he had to spend the previous night in jail due to a reported error in the bail copy.

Upon his release, Surekha greeted him with a tight hug and held onto his hand, showing her reluctance to let go. This emotional moment was captured on video, where Surekha can be seen reaching out to hug Arjun as soon as she sees him. Her brother, Aravind, Arjun’s father, was also present and looked on with a bright smile. Surekha continued to hold Arjun close even as they talked, and she hugged him again after their conversation. Arjun responded by kissing her hand and head tenderly.

This incident happened in the aftermath of a tragic event at the premiere of "Pushpa 2: The Rule" on December 4. During the premiere at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, a stampede-like situation occurred, leading to the death of a woman named Revathi and the hospitalization of her young son in critical condition. Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 and was granted a 4-week interim bail by the Telangana High Court. He was released on Saturday morning, after which he was greeted warmly by his family and friends, including celebrities like Vijay Deverakonda and Rana Daggubati.
