PV Sindhu, the renowned Indian badminton star, has recently married Venkat Datta in an intimate ceremony held in Udaipur. The first picture of their wedding was shared by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The ceremony was a private affair, attended by close friends, family, and notable figures such as Sachin Tendulkar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.For her wedding, Sindhu chose a stunning golden silk saree adorned with intricate sequin embellishments and delicate zari detailing, paired with a matching embellished blouse and a beautifully adorned dupatta. She accessorized her look with traditional jewelry, including a diamond-studded maang tikka, statement drop earrings, stacked bangles, and a bejewelled ring bracelet. Her groom, Venkat Datta, wore a regal golden sherwani with exquisite zari work, paired with matching pants and a traditionally draped dupatta.The wedding festivities began on December 20 with a Sangeet ceremony, followed by Haldi, Pellikuthuru (a pre-wedding South Indian tradition), and Mehendi rituals on December 21. The couple got engaged in a private ceremony on December 14 and have planned a grand reception in Hyderabad on December 24 to celebrate their union with a larger group of family and friends.Despite the celebrations, PV Sindhu is set to return to the badminton court soon, participating in the Malaysia Open Super 1000 tournament starting on January 7, 2025, marking the beginning of the new Olympic cycle leading up to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
