Red Bull Showrun Houston 2024: Event Details and Highlights
The Red Bull Showrun event in Houston will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Discovery Green, located at 1500 McKinney Street in downtown Houston. The event is free and open to the public, with gates opening at 10:00 AM and the main show running from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Formula 1 Demonstration: Legendary F1 driver David Coulthard and current Red Bull Junior Driver Arvid Lindblad will showcase their skills in two championship-winning F1 cars, the RB7 and RB8, performing donuts and burnouts on a custom-built track around Discovery Green.

Special Performances: The event will feature world-class performances, including 'Mad' Mike Whiddett in his McLaren P1 Hypercar and off-road racing champion Andrew Carlson.
DJ Battle: During the intermission at 1:00 PM, there will be a DJ battle between local legend DJ Mr. Rogers and LA-based DJ Hed, hosted by Houston rap legend Paul Wall.

Red Bull Fan Zone: Opens at 10:00 AM and includes various activities such as racing simulators, a Red Bull Pit Stop Challenge, photobooths, and merchandise sales. Exhibitions by Ford, Visa Cash App, Circuit of the Americas, New Era, and Diageo will also be featured.
Parking: There are numerous parking garages and surface lots near Discovery Green. It is recommended to park in the area where you enter downtown Houston and exit in the same direction. The ParkMobile App and Parking.com can help locate available spots.
Public Transportation: The METRORail Green, Purple, and Red Lines provide easy access to Discovery Green. The Green and Purple Lines stop at the Convention District Station, while the Red Line stops at Main Street Square Station, a half-mile walk from the event. Several METRO bus routes also stop within walking distance of Discovery Green.

Several roads in the area will be closed for the event:
Northbound Avenida de Las Americas closed on Tuesday, September 3 at 8:00 AM.
Southbound Avenida de Las Americas closed on Friday, September 6 at 4:00 PM.
Entire sections of Avenida de Las Americas, McKinney Street, Lamar Street, and Crawford closed on Friday, September 6 at 7:00 PM.
All roads will reopen by 11:59 PM on Saturday, September 7.
