To be eligible for the SSC CGL 2025 examination, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
Specific posts may have additional educational requirements:
Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university with at least 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th OR Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university with Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics as a compulsory or elective subject.
The application fee is ₹100 for male candidates in the UR and OBC categories. Female candidates, SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-servicemen are exempt from paying the fee.
Selection Process
The selection process for SSC CGL 2025 includes:
Tier-I (Preliminary Examination): An objective, computer-based assessment covering General Intelligence, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Awareness.
Tier-II (Main Examination): This stage is also conducted via computer and is segmented into various sections, including quantitative aptitude, English language proficiency, general studies with a focus on finance and economics, and computer skills pertinent to specific roles.
Document Verification: Candidates who are shortlisted following Tier-II are required to present original documents to confirm their eligibility.
